Cedara is on the main line from Durban to Johannesburg, and is the junction for a split between an old and new section of the line that re-unite near Pietermaritzburg. The old section has mostly been removed, except a section to Hilton, which still retains semaphores, though long out-of-use. These pictures show the old signal cabin-long out of use since CTC was applid to this section, but in reasonable condition as the station building is now used as a pub and restaurant and is a pleasant place to watch trains on one of the busier lines in South Africa. Thanks for Greg Hart for the pictures and information.
