Dundee is on the Glencoe to Vryheid section in Northern Kwazulu Natal, in a coal-mining area. Most of this section of line was converted to radio control in 1998, but Dundee survives as one of the few mechanically signalled stations in South Africa in the 2010s. Indeed, the 52 lever frame is the largest operational frame in South Africa at the time of writing, although all the signals are color light. The signalling area can be seen in this picture.
