KRAAIFONTEIN

Kraaifontein is an important station on the Cape mine line, 29 kms from Cape Town. It is the terminus and staging point for many suburban trains as well as the junction for the important branch to Malmesbury and Bitterfontein. The control of the station area is still in the hands of this mechanical signal box, with 40 levers, although the signals have been color light for many years.
